TRUMPF USA DELEGATION
This September our Production Manager, Alison Carey, attended the Trumpf USA Delegation to Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The following is how she described her experience:
The trip was a mix of Trumpf factory tours, plant tours of local Trumpf customers, sightseeing and tons of food! Some highlights included, visiting a classic car museum, seeing the new laser engraver (I even got a chocolate bar with my name engraved on the packaging!), dinner at a castle in the Swiss Alps and a custom build tooling storage unit for the bender tools. The trip was a great opportunity yo learn how other companies use their machines and structure production. Also, the other people on the trip were very interested in what we do, since we use our Trumpf machines differently than most other companies. Overall, the trip was informative and a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to using the things I learned back at Carey and I may never eat schnitzel again!
In 2017 we found value in reshoring our manufacturing to the USA with an investment in Trumpf’s machinery. We continue to look for innovative ways to improve the way we do business and are grateful that our production manager could have this wonderful experience. The trip proved to allow a collaborative space between fellow manufacturers to learn from each others capabilities!
